Description
**Primary Objective**:
Develop and implement the Group Credit Policy and Credit Guidelines for local operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic and Planning**:
- Provide advice and support to the Head, Group Credit Policy in relation to the management/implementation of the Group’s credit policies, guidelines, and other credit-related matters.
- Actively review existing policies and guidelines and recommend appropriate actions to align with developments/changes in practices, rules and regulations of local banking operations.
- Keep abreast of developments in the credit risk management landscape.
**Internal Process Improvement**:
- Develop, implement and review Group-wide credit policies & credit guidelines for local operations:
- to address issues raised by BNM
- to address issues raised by business/ support units
- to address issues raised by Group Internal Audit
- to support any new initiatives in the Bank
- Provide periodic and ad-hoc responses to internal and external parties, including updates to Group Internal Audit Department and Bank Negara Malaysia, comments on concept papers and surveys to regulators.
**Internal Customer Satisfaction**:
- Provide support to business and support units in advisory capacity relating to credit policies, credit guidelines of the Group.
- Review of credit processes/products/proposals originated by business/support units.
- Engage and build rapport with business units to continue improve the asset quality of the Bank.
**Learning/Competitive Position**:
- Provide direction and technical guidance to subordinates, share information and facilitate problem solving for Policies and Guidelines.
- Develop KPIs for staff, plan distribution of work, supervise staff performance, and ensure work life balance to extract optimum value.
- Design and execute programs for staff training and development and conduct through a structured manner, i.e. track against the career development plan.
**Requirements**:
**Requirements**:Bachelor Degree - Any related field(s).
Minimum 10 years of experience in credit risk management functions.
- Good command of English; well verse in Microsoft Words and Excel.
- Possess good knowledge of the Bank’s credit policies, processes and products and regulatory guidelines.
- Possess good written and communication skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- A committed team player with good interpersonal skills.
