Purchasing Officer

Develop and implement purchasing strategies for food and kitchen supplies specific to hospital dietary needs.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery terms.
- Conduct market research to find the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the dietetics and kitchen teams to ensure dietary needs are met in accordance with hospital standards.
- Oversee the maintenance of inventory levels, ensuring that neither excess nor insufficient stock is held.
- Ensure compliance with the hospital’s health and safety standards in all purchasing activities.
- Handle problems concerning delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Assist in any other ad-hoc assignments as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
