**JOB SUMMARY**

Helps drive company culture and ensure all training and development activities are strategically aligned to our company’s goals. This incumbent is responsible for ensuring effective training is in place to enable the development of our associates (employee) and supports our company’s business results. Training programs focus on a variety of topics, including product knowledge, company philosophy, customer service and leadership skills. Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops training programs and facilitates the delivery of both custom and corporate training programs.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Education and Experience**
- Diploma / degree from an accredited education establishment in Hospitality would be added advantage.
- Experienced as Learning & Development in other industries are also welcome to apply.
- Passionate and proactive on improving customer service, focused on achieving results and strives for continual improvement.

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**

**Administering Employee Training Programs**
- Promote and inform employee about upcoming training programs.
- Work with Department Heads to identify training needs for employees.
- Lead the way for positive customer service
- Ensure employees receive on-going training for their development.
- Use effective training methods to ensure employee has good understanding of guest satisfaction.
- Observes service behaviors of employee and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers.

**Evaluating Training Programs Effectiveness**
- Monitor enrollment and attendance at training section.
- Meet regularly with employees to assess progress and address concerns.
- Measures transfer of learning from training courses to operation.
- Ensure adult learning principles are incorporated into training programs.

**Developing Training Program Plans and Budgets**
- Ensures all training and development activities are aligned to company’s goal.
- Identifies performance gaps and works with managers to develop and implement appropriate training to improve performance.
- Makes any necessary adjustments to training methodology and/or re-trains as appropriate.
- Drives brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
- Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.

**Managing Training Budgets**
- Manages Training budget.
- Manages Department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Manages Human Resource Development Fund
