**Job Overview**:
The **Executive Housekeeper** is responsible for overseeing and managing all housekeeping operations at Ibis Styles Hotel Kuala Lumpur Fraser Business Park, ensuring that the hotel is clean, well-maintained, and meets the highest standards of hygiene and guest comfort. The role involves leading a team of housekeeping staff, managing budgets, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage housekeeping operations while also ensuring that the hotel’s cost efficiency and quality standards are aligned with the brand’s values and guest expectations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Housekeeping Operations**:
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Ensure that all rooms are properly cleaned and inspected before guest check-ins and after check-outs.
- Manage the cleaning and maintenance of all hotel common areas, including the lobby, corridors, restrooms, and conference facilities.
- **Staff Management and Training**:
- Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housemen, public area cleaners, and laundry attendants.
- Provide training to new staff and ensure all team members are familiar with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to improve staff performance and job satisfaction.
- Schedule and manage staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency and meet the hotel's housekeeping requirements.
- **Quality Control and Standards**:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards.
- Ensure all rooms and areas meet **Ibis Styles** brand standards, as well as health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Establish and monitor procedures for cleaning and linen usage to improve efficiency while maintaining high quality.
- **Inventory and Budget Management**:
- Monitor and control the department’s inventory, including cleaning supplies, guest room amenities, linens, and uniforms, ensuring items are well-stocked and organized.
- Work with the finance department to manage the housekeeping department's budget, ensuring cost control and efficient use of resources.
- Oversee the ordering and purchasing of cleaning materials and hotel amenities, ensuring budget adherence and cost-effectiveness.
- **Guest Satisfaction**:
- Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services.
- Continuously improve and innovate housekeeping services based on guest feedback, reviews, and evolving industry trends.
- Liaise with the Front Desk and other departments to ensure special guest requests related to housekeeping are fulfilled.
- **Health & Safety and Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including the safe handling and storage of cleaning products and chemicals.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of housekeeping equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Implement and monitor adherence to COVID-19 cleanliness protocols and hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- **Sustainability Initiatives**:
- Implement environmentally friendly practices within the housekeeping department, including waste management, water and energy conservation, and the use of eco-friendly products.
- Promote sustainability by training staff on green practices and monitoring compliance.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial position in the housekeeping department, preferably within the hotel industry.
- Experience working in a **mid-scale hotel** or economy hotel brand such as **Ibis Styles** would be an advantage.
- Proven track record of leading a large team, managing operations, and maintaining quality standards.
