**Position Overview**

The Sanitation Team Leader is responsible for leading and develop a sanitation team to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Manage training, resources, and compliance with USDA standards. Foster team engagement, oversee sanitation schedules, and collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Gourmessa Sdn Bhd, known for premium no mechanically deboned meat under the GOURMESSA brand, was acquired by PrimaBaguz Group in 2023. This strengthens PrimaBaguz’s halal retail portfolio, expanding its Southeast Asian market reach following its 2020 acquisition by global meat company Johnsonville.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and coach the sanitation team to drive safely, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate training programs to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that supports morale, fairness, and work-life balance.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and resource efficiency.
- Serve as a role model and safety champion for all Members.
- Manage sanitation inventory and ensure timely completion of schedules.
- Work closely with chemical suppliers and USDA inspectors.
- Monitor bacteria counts and takes corrective actions when necessary.
- Support recruitment by participating in the hiring process.
- Contribute to sanitary design initiatives and perform additional assigned duties.

**Requirements/ Experiences**
- Bachelor’s degree in in the related field or equivalent with minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in leadership / supervision.
- At least 2 years’ working experience in manufacturing industries.
