The Legal In-House Executive is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and advice to the organization. This role involves managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and advising on a wide range of legal matters. The Legal In-House Executive works closely with various departments to ensure that all legal aspects of business operations are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Legal Advisory**:
- Provide expert legal advice to the management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate law, contract law, employment law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Interpret and explain legal requirements and ensure that the organization operates within the law at all times.
- **Contract Management**:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, leases, and memoranda of understanding.
- Ensure that all contracts and agreements protect the organization's interests and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and advise on necessary actions to remain compliant.
- **Dispute Resolution**:
- Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary and oversee their work to ensure the organization's interests are protected.
- **Corporate Governance**:
- Support the board of directors and senior management in ensuring effective corporate governance practices.
- Prepare and review corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, minutes of meetings, and shareholder agreements.
- **Employment Law**:
- Advise on employment law matters, including hiring practices, employee contracts, workplace policies, and termination procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and handle employee disputes and grievances.
- **Intellectual Property**:
- Manage the organization's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Ensure the protection and enforcement of the organization's intellectual property rights.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the organization operates.
- A minimum of 1 years of experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm, with a strong background in corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Work Environment:
- This position typically involves working in an office setting with frequent interactions with various departments and external legal counsel.
- Occasional travel may be required for meetings, negotiations, and legal proceedings.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
