**About the Department: Delivery Services**

Meltwater's Delivery Services team is responsible for curating bespoke reports and managing key projects of our biggest clients. We deliver business-essential intelligence reports based on our keen analyses of various media outlets across traditional and social media channels.

**Role: Media Analyst (Chinese & Malay Proficiency)**

**What You'll Do**:

- Monitor and identify media coverage and conversations on key topics of interest across all mainstream and social media platforms for our client on a 24/7 cycle
- Translate and summarise media content to deliver regular media reports as well as alerts to inform the client of any impending developments or crises arising in media coverage
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative media data analysis, with the intention of understanding the extent of media volume during significant developments and providing sentiment analysis of said reports and mentions
- Ensure the accuracy, comprehensive coverage, and timely delivery of daily reports on the client's media footprint
- Execute projects to create value and efficiencies for the client and the project/operations team
- Work cohesively with your team to ensure all deliverables and tasks are completed accurately and to tight deadlines.
- Utilise our Meltwater proprietary software and Google Workspace to cover end-to-end process of extracting raw data, uncovering insights, and delivering factual, digestible reports to clients

**Who You Are**:

- Professional proficiency in English, Malay and Chinese languages with a strong proficiency in Malay and Chinese languages (for translations into English)
- Must be currently residing in Kuala Lumpur
- Entry level / have up to 1 - 2 years of work experience
- Ability to work in high pressure situations with tight deadlines
- Keen interest in current affairs, mainstream media, and social media
- Derive great enjoyment being in a client servicing role with a naturally strong customer focus
- Able to think critically - look at numbers, trends, and data and search for explanations for outcomes
- Meticulous - have an eye for detail and ability to exercise vigilance in analysis

**Nice to Haves**:

- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Studio is a plus
- Experience in a client facing role is a plus
