**Sales Manager (Government)**
**Job Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Associate to join our hotel’s sales team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies, GLCs and related organizations to maximize room bookings, meetings, and event business. The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving revenue targets by identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring exceptional service delivery for government clients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow government segment revenue in line with hotel goals
- Identify, pursue, and secure new government accounts and maintain strong relationships with existing ones
- Negotiate contracts and rates with government agencies and travel procurement offices
- Coordinate with the reservations, front office, banquets, and operations teams to ensure smooth guest experiences
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management review
- Represent the hotel at government-related trade shows, networking events, and official functions
- Ensure compliance with government procurement policies and procedures
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or any related disciplines
- Proven experience in hotel sales with a focus on the government segment
- Strong network and knowledge of government procurement and travel processes
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to meet revenue targets and work under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel CRM systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi)
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
