**Key Responsibilities**
- Daily Operations & Facility Oversight
- Manage student check-ins and check-outs, completing room inventory and asset handover checklists.
- Conduct daily room and common area inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Track and report maintenance issues; coordinate timely resolution with relevant departments.
- Work closely with housekeeping teams to maintain hotel-standard hygiene throughout The Residence.
- Student Welfare & Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for students experiencing emotional, social, or roommate-related concerns.
- Monitor resident wellbeing through daily interactions and scheduled wellness rounds.
- Refer students to university counselling or medical services when necessary and follow up on cases.
- Offer informal pastoral care to residents, especially male students, and support positive adjustment to campus life.
- Policy Monitoring & Disciplinary Actions
- Enforce residence rules concerning curfews, noise control, cleanliness, guest registration, and appliance safety.
- Document policy violations and issue appropriate warnings or fines.
- Escalate repeated or serious infractions to the Residence Manager with formal incident reporting.
- Conflict Resolution & Mediation
- Mediate peer conflicts and facilitate roommate agreements to encourage respectful cohabitation.
- Promote a culture of tolerance, inclusion, and mutual respect within each residential tower.
- Ensure minor disputes are resolved swiftly to maintain a harmonious living environment.
- Student Engagement & Community Building
- Plan and coordinate tower-level engagement activities (e.g., chill sessions, movie nights, peer circles).
- Foster a sense of community and inclusion among residents from diverse backgrounds.
- Use platforms such as WhatsApp groups and notice boards to share updates, events, and reminders.
- Oversee use of shared facilities like the Reading Hub, ensuring they are accessible and conducive for academic and recreational use.
- Operational Oversight of Amenities
- Monitor in-house amenities (laundry rooms, vending machines, convenience stores) for functionality and cleanliness.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve breakdowns or student complaints within 48 hours.
- Ensure business partners comply with service SLAs and hygiene protocols.
- Coordinate with Security Services to enforce orderly parking and manage safety-related concerns.
- Emergency Support & Night Duty
- Participate in night duty rotation and remain on-call for after-hours emergencies.
- Respond to incidents involving fire, medical emergencies, or security issues in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Maintain a visible presence and conduct surveillance during night shifts or off-peak hours.
- Lead or support emergency evacuations and communicate procedures clearly to students.
- Administration, Reporting & Communication
- Maintain up-to-date records on student movement, room condition reports, disciplinary actions, and maintenance logs.
- Submit regular reports to the Residence Manager on key incidents, curfew breaches, unresolved maintenance, and student feedback.
- Assist in managing appeals, fines, and complaints resolution.
- Participate in team meetings, share operational updates, and track follow-up actions.
- Ensure thorough handovers between shifts, documenting pending issues and ongoing cases.
