Job Summary

Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required by the company. Ensures timely supply, cost efficiency, and adherence to company procurement policies.

Job Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Sourcing

  • Source and evaluate suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, and secure competitive deals.
  • Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely order placement.
  • Maintain and update the Approved Supplier List.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors and key suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness).
  • Resolve issues related to pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, or quality problems.

Inventory & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with the warehouse/operations team to ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Monitor stock levels and trigger re-ordering based on inventory thresholds.
  • Track and follow up on shipment schedules, deliveries, and returns.

Cost & Documentation Control

  • Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing records, pricing lists, and reports.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, finance, and project teams to understand purchasing needs.
  • Support urgent procurement requests and ensure minimal operational downtime.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (fresh grads considered).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP is a plus).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
