About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our talented culinary team at the ONE IFC HOTEL SDN BHD' in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

What you'll be doing

  • Helps to direct, control and co-ordinate the activities of all chefs and kitchen helpers, engaged in preparing and cooking food, to ensure an efficient, profitable and smooth food service at all times.
  • Inspects storerooms, refrigerators and freezers daily to ensure no wastage.
  • Is always looking for cost saving and environmental ideas.
  • Assists the Executive Chef to control cost by minimizing spoilage, utilizing food surpluses and portion controls.
  • Checks the quality and quantity of food received from the markets and stores.
  • Assists in operating all his outlets and all dependent outlets, at an acceptable food and staff cost.
  • Maximizes employee productivity, in order to minimize payroll costs.
  • Monitors all kitchen operating costs an take correction action, when necessary to reduce expenses.
  • Is in charge of the outlet in absence of Supervisor.
  • Ensures that all food is prepared and served according to the standard set by the Executive Chef.
  • Produces and checks preparation and presentation of all food.
  • Ensures standard recipes are used and food is presented according to pictures.
  • Ensures that all machine, furniture (fridges, benches, etc.), equipment and utensils are clean and in working condition at all times. Checks all areas assigned to him in regards to sanitation and hygiene contamination of any kind.

  • Ensures the kitchen is always in a safe condition, so as to prevent accidents.
  • Is responsible to make the flow of information work from her all the way to the helper's level.
  • Maintains good relation with all departments to avoid friction of any kind
  • Maximizes personal and team members' productivity and morale, whilst consistently maintaining discipline, following hotel guidelines and local legislation.
  • Motivates all staff through professionalism, organizational skills and team spirit to perform their duties
