About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and creative Chocolate Gallery Café Manager who can prepare simple pastries, cakes, beverages, and chocolate-based products while ensuring smooth daily café operations. This role requires someone who enjoys both kitchen work and customer interaction, with the ability to maintain high standards in service, cleanliness, and product presentation.

Main Roles and ResponsibilitiesCafé Operations & Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the Chocolate Gallery Café, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and customer-friendly experience.
  • Manage café staff scheduling, task assignments, and performance.
  • Maintain café cleanliness, organization, and hygiene according to food safety standards.
  • Handle inventory control of ingredients, packaging, and beverage supplies.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all café menu items.
  • Prepare daily sales reports and stock usage reports.

Food & Beverage Preparation

  • Prepare simple pastries, cakes, cookies, and chocolate desserts.
  • Create and serve coffee, chocolate drinks, and café beverages.
  • Produce chocolate-related products (e.g., hot chocolate)
  • Assist in creating new menu items or seasonal specials based on chocolate themes.
  • Ensure all food prep areas follow Halal, hygiene, and safety guidelines.

Customer Experience

  • Greet and interact with guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Introduce and explain café items, chocolate products, and recommendations.
  • Support chocolate gallery activities or demonstrations as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints or feedback courteously.

Administration & Reporting

  • Monitor ingredient usage, wastage, and reorder levels.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly café performance reports.
  • Work closely with Gallery Manager and Operations Manager on promotions, events, and new products.

  • Passionate about chocolate, baking, and creating a welcoming café environment.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Friendly and confident in speaking with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail in food prep, cleanliness, and presentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in café operations, bakery, pastry, or barista work is required.
  • Able to prepare basic pastries, simple cakes, and baked items.
  • Knowledge of coffee machines and beverage preparation.
  • Good communication skills in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to stand for extended hours and handle fast-paced operations.
  • Preferably has experience managing small teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM3,345.97 per month
