About the role

MH Theme Design Sdn Bhd, a dynamic construction company based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a full-time position, this role will be instrumental in supporting the successful delivery of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and manage bills of quantities, cost estimates, and detailed cost plans for construction projects
  • Analyse and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they remain within budget
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual and commercial matters
  • Assist with the preparation of tenders and bids for new projects
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction industry
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and IT systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Familiarity with the Malaysian construction industry and regulations
