About the role

Menta Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and achieving optimal cost-efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and analyse detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects
  • Negotiate and manage contract agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Monitor project costs, identify potential savings, and implement cost control measures
  • Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters to project teams
  • Assist with the preparation of progress claims, valuations, and final accounts
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of construction projects

What we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in infrastructure work
  • Ability to perform detailed cost analysis and create accurate estimation
  • Excellent understanding of contract law, construction industry regulations, and cost management principles
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
