Business Development Manager

- Market & Opportunity Identification — Research and analyze relevant markets (e.g. cloud services, Web3, gaming, enterprise IT) to spot growth areas, emerging trends and new business opportunities.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Building — Generate leads (cold outreach, networking, referrals), qualify prospects, and build a healthy sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management — Engage with potential clients; manage end-to-end sales cycles (from introduction & pitching to negotiation & deal closure); build and nurture long-term relationships with clients/accounts.
- Solution Selling & Advisory — Understand clients' needs and business scenarios; coordinate with internal technical/solutions teams (e.g. cloud solution architects) to propose and design appropriate solutions; articulate the value proposition effectively.
- Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure — Lead negotiation of contracts/agreements, manage pricing, terms and ensure closure of deals. Aniday+2Exclusive Networks+2
- Account & Territory Planning — Develop and execute account/territory plans; map out target clients/industries; prioritize and strategize outreach to maximize growth and market penetration.
- Post-Sales & Customer Success Oversight — Oversee post-sales support, ensure customer satisfaction, manage client onboarding and adoption, and support renewals.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination — Work closely with internal teams (technical/solution delivery, marketing, sales operations) to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery; provide market/ customer feedback to inform product/service improvements.
- Reporting & Performance Tracking — Maintain CRM or pipeline data; track leads, conversion, revenue, deal size; prepare regular reports/forecasts to management.
Desired Skills & Experience
Typical expectations for a BDM in this space (cloud / IT / services) include:
- Proven BD / Sales Experience — 2–5+ years (or more) in business development, sales, account management, ideally in ICT, cloud solutions or related industries.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills — Able to engage clients, pitch convincingly, negotiate contracts and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Solution-Oriented & Consultative Selling — Ability to understand client needs, craft tailored solutions, coordinate with technical teams, and advise clients on fit.
- Strategic Thinking & Market Awareness — Good understanding of market trends, competition, and ability to identify growth opportunities or service gaps.
- Result Driven & Target Oriented — Ability to meet or exceed sales/revenue targets, manage pipelines, close deals, and ensure growth and profitability.
- Coordination & Cross-functional Collaboration — Comfortable working with technical, delivery, marketing or operations teams to ensure service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Professionalism & Client Management — Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with senior-level stakeholders, and maintain long-term client relationships.
