Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for managing and drive strategic enterprise and government opportunities. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, this role ensures effective execution of BD initiatives, proposal development, partner coordination, and sales alignment. BD Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping high-value deals, mentoring team members, and supporting long-term growth strategies.

What are you accountable for?

  • Strategic Growth & Partnerships
    • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities in key verticals (e.g., Connectivity, IoT, Cloud, Cybersecurity).
    • Build and manage strategic alliances with technology partners, system integrators, and government agencies.
  • Client Engagement & Solutioning
    • Engage with C-level stakeholders to understand business needs and propose tailored solutions.
    • Collaborate with product and technical teams to develop and deliver end-to-end enterprise solutions.
       
  • Market Intelligence & Innovation
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform go-to-market strategies.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend innovative approaches to business development.
    • Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, upselling, and cross-selling.
       
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Enterprise LOB teams to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and business strategy.

What do you need to have for the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in telecommunications, ICT, or enterprise solutions.
  • Proven track record in closing complex deals and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and enterprise transformation trends.
