About the role

Dumas Holdings Sdn Bhd, an established engineering and construction firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. What you'll be doing

  1. Overseeing the construction process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and construction workers
  3. Monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
  4. Preparing detailed reports and documentation to track project milestones and performance
  5. Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 15 years of practical experience in civil engineering, preferably in the construction industry
  3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment
  4. Proficient in the use of engineering software, such as AutoCAD
  5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  7. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
