Get to Know the Team

The Regional Market Insights Team plays an important role in influencing Grab's strategic and operational decisions by offering insights on industry developments and competitive dynamics. We evaluate the landscape through diverse lenses and complement traditional market research and analysis with innovative techniques.

Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Lead Market Analyst, our team comprises individuals from varied backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of experiences and skills to the table. To excel in this role, you will be one excels at teamwork, and can navigate through ambiguities.

This role is based on-site in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will Conduct comprehensive competitive landscape analysis by interpreting trends and insights derived from quantitative data and performance metrics.
  • You will monitoring industry developments and activities to identify key movements and opportunities.
  • You will perform financial analysis of key industry players to gain a deeper understanding of their market positioning and strategies.
  • You will applying critical thinking to synthesize observations and insights, crafting strategic narratives that connect the dots across the competitive landscape.
  • You will assess potential threats and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to drive Grab's strategic and operational decision-making processes.
  • You will lead and manage a small team responsible for designing, implementing, and ensuring the accuracy of data collection and validation workflows.
  • You will drive cross-functional collaboration by managing projects and aligning objectives across multiple teams and departments.
Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • At least 4 years of experience in analytics field.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, wrangling, and analysis.
  • Experience with statistics is advantageous.
  • Critical thinker who can logically analyze complex and ambiguous problems.
