About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in Petaling Jaya. You'll play a key role in supporting our cybersecurity operations across Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance, and timely reporting. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of accounting experience who enjoys working in a dynamic, tech-driven environment and wants to gain regional finance exposure within a growing organization.

What You'll Do

  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, invoice processing, and journal postings.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions for all operating entities.
  • Prepare and process payment vouchers, staff claims, and customer billings.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable aging reports.
  • Follow up on outstanding collections and coordinate with Sales and Operations teams for billing verification.
  • Ensure all payments are processed promptly and in compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist in monthly closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Contribute to the preparation of management accounts with accurate data and clear variance explanations.
  • Track service delivery milestones and maintain billing status trackers for active contracts and project delivery.
  • Support revenue recognition documentation for contract-based billings.
  • Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing internal management reports and summaries.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by compiling and organizing required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and local financial requirements (e.g. SST, WHT) across Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
  • Contribute to improvements in financial workflows, SOPs, and documentation processes.
  • Support finance system migration or automation initiatives, if applicable.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant working experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), familiarity with AutoCount cloud accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial internal controls.
  • Exposure to multi-country operations (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines) is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry is a plus.
  • Able to converse in Mandarin is a plus.
