About the role

As a Production Engineer at MummyRQ Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes. This contract position is based in Sungai Petani, Kedah, and will involve overseeing the day-to-day activities of our production lines to maximise output, minimise waste, and maintain the highest standards of quality.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing, implementing, and optimising production processes and workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving issues on the production floor, identifying and addressing bottlenecks
  3. Monitoring and analysing production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations
  5. Providing technical support and training to production staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  6. Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards
  7. Conducting root cause analyses and implementing preventive and corrective actions

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Production Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  5. Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management systems
  6. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and quality standards
