Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance Operation - Accounts Payable

  • Process and validate vendor invoice/e-claims according to applicable policy.
  • Create payment proposals and process payments based on authorization levels.
  • Collaborate with local finance to release payments.
  • Accurately record all executed payments in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate, and correct discrepancies.
  • Generate monthly reports like the AP Aging report and assist with closing tasks as assigned by the team lead.

Finance Operation - General Ledger/Banking

  • Assist with monthly management reports, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant accounting records.
  • Handle journal entries and reconcile general, debtor, and creditor ledgers.
  • Manage monthly account closures, inter-company accounts, and variance reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management reports (Income statement and Balance sheet).
  • Monitor cash flow and work with banks on facility matters.
  • Prepare and execute Bank Facility documentation, like STRC Drawdown.
  • Manage Bank Guarantee documentation and utilization.
  • Oversee and review STRC facility activities and track fund placements, including Repo and Fixed Deposits

Others

  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, and other authorities pertaining to statutory requirements or financial matters

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience and 3+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or a large corporation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, etc.)
  • An ability to prioritize and manage expectations, keen eye for detail and take initiative work independently.
  • A mathematical background would be added advantage
