Role Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing full-set accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and leading a team of 5–6 accounting personnel. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, strengthens internal controls, and enhances the efficiency of the finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Set Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage and review end-to-end full-set accounts, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Handle tax computations, submissions, and liaison with tax agents and auditors.
  • Maintain proper documentation, internal controls, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Financial Analysis & Operations

  • Review financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and financial data integrity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments for accurate financial information flow.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team.
  • Provide coaching, performance reviews, and training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor workload, and ensure team members meet reporting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, tax agents, and external partners.
  • Support management with financial insights for decision-making.
  • Address accounting issues and provide solutions to improve processes and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including full-set accounts handling.
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading or supervising a team.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
