Procurement Agent

Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing daily purchasing activities to procure commodities and materials required for production operations
• Involves applying effective negotiation strategies to secure competitive pricing and achieve cost-saving targets while maintaining quality and delivery standards
• Lead and manage comprehensive sourcing activities to meet Company's strategic requirements
• Ensure the commodities and materials are well procured and stocks at the right quantity and time to support the operations
• Ensure procuring of commodities and materials are in strict adherence to Company's SOP and relevant Specifications
• Develop detailed material planning and generate purchase orders through ordering system, material forecasts, demand reports, and historical usage data
• Resolve supplier shortages risks/issues with a proactive approach
• Coordinate with stakeholders to arrange material transportation and follow up meticulously to ensure timely delivery
• Continuously monitor demand and usage, promptly addressing potential shortages and supply chain issues
• Engage with suppliers to address performance issues and assist internal stakeholders in resolving such issues effectively.
• Issues Requests for Proposals/Quotes and performing proposal analysis, negotiations and award
• Maintain supplier database, liaison and supplier performance rating

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field. Minimum of 1-5 years of working experience preferably in procurement, or a related field
• Has a solid understanding of procurement processes and possesses strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
• Possess positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth
• Takes proactive action and possess the ability to work well independently in a fast paced environment as well as with a team
