About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Shipping Executive to manage end-to-end shipping operations. This role involves overseeing documentation and physical shipment processes, vessel chartering, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms for various shipping arrangements (FOB, CIF/CFR, Ex-Tank, Delivered, and consumer-packed contracts).

You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and timely execution of all shipping-related functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Shipping Operations & Documentation:

  • Prepare and verify full sets of shipping documents for bulk and consumer-packed shipments.

  • Ensure timely submission of shipping instructions and compliance with PORAM/FOSFA regulations.
  • Monitor vessel arrival and discharge schedules to avoid demurrage charges.

  • Vessel Chartering & Coordination:

  • Liaise with traders, vessel owners, brokers, and port agents for vessel nomination and charter party compliance.

  • Arrange freight payment and manage Letters of Indemnity (LOI) approvals.

  • Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Conduct OFAC/EU/UN/UK compliance checks for buyers, vessel owners, and agents.

  • Ensure adherence to contractual terms and mitigate risks related to documentation discrepancies.

  • Reporting & System Updates:

  • Update shipment details in domain systems and generate outstanding contract reports.

  • Coordinate with Treasury for fund management and timely payment processing.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in any discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in bulk commodity shipping; experience in palm oil or trade is highly desirable.

  • Technical Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of accounting, insurance, and shipping operations.

  • Familiarity with Incoterms and shipping regulations.

  • Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
