About the role

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team at MERCU REKA SDN. BHD. in Ipoh, Perak. This full-time position will see you playing a critical role in the successful delivery of the company's engineering projects, utilising your strong technical expertise and project management skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prepare progress reports, technical documents, and project documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.
  • Provide engineering support and solutions for site-related challenges.
  • Ensure all works comply with company policies, standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and liaise with clients when required.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in construction or project engineering (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for junior positions).
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and engineering practices.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, or relevant engineering software.
  • Possess valid CIDB Green Card and own transport.
