About the Role

World Peace Music is looking for a passionate and driven A&R Executive (Artist & Repertoire Executive) to help shape the next generation of Malaysian music talent. You'll play a key role in discovering new artists, developing their sound, and guiding them through the creative process—from demo to release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scout and evaluate emerging artists, songwriters, and producers across social media, live shows, and industry networks.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential signings aligned with WPM's creative and commercial strategy.
  • Work closely with artists on sound development, songwriting, branding, and creative direction.
  • Coordinate recording sessions, writing camps, and collaborations with producers and musicians.
  • Oversee the full production lifecycle—from demo creation to mixing, mastering, and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Management, and Label Services teams to support rollout plans and content strategies.
  • Track performance analytics and provide creative recommendations for growth.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the music community and represent WPM at industry events.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the Malaysian music scene and global trends.
  • Sharp instinct for spotting early talent and understanding market potential.
  • Familiarity with songwriting, recording workflows, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple artists and projects at once.
  • Previous experience in A&R, artist management, production, or a similar role is an added advantage.
