Technical Sales & Business Development

Promote and sell company products and solutions including (but not limited to):

  • Motors, EC fans, cooling tower upgrades, AHU systems, retrofit solutions, and energy-efficient technologies

  • Identify customer needs and propose value-based engineering solutions rather than specification-driven selling

  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost justifications

  • Support tender submissions with technical documentation and compliance statements

Application Engineering & Product Support

  • Perform product selection, sizing, and application calculations based on site conditions and client requirements
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with local regulations, industry standards, and energy efficiency requirements
  • Conduct site surveys, measurements, and technical assessments
  • Provide technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients, consultants and end-users

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure correct application and installation
  • Support project execution teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Attend project meetings and site inspections when required

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain:

  • Technical datasheets and submittals
  • Method statements and technical clarifications
  • Energy saving calculations and ROI analyses
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer feedback

After-Sales & Technical Support

  • Provide post-sales technical support and application advice
  • Assist in resolving technical issues or performance concerns
  • Support continuous improvement by collecting field feedback and recommending product enhancements

Requirements:

Education


• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline

Experience


• Minimum 2–5 years experience in:

o HVAC / M&E industry

o Technical sales, application engineering, or project engineering


• Experience with motors, fans, HVAC equipment, or energy-efficient systems is an advantage

Technical Skills


• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, motors, fans, and control concepts


• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and system analysis


• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and retrofit applications


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Soft Skills


• Strong communication and presentation skills


• Customer-oriented with a solution-selling mindset


• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects


• Willing to travel to client sites when required


• Fluent in Chinese and Mandarin will be an added advantage

Preferred Attributes (Added Advantage)


• Experience in energy efficiency, retrofit, or sustainability projects


• Familiarity with ESCO concepts, ROI calculations, or grant-supported projects (e.g. MyHIJAU, energy incentives)


• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or technical drawings
