RESPONSIBILITIES
- The role involves assisting the Finance Manager in managing, processing, and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions. Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.
- To guide & mentor the AP team to perform their daily operations.
- Proactively and consistently seek process improvements and challenge the current processes for further enhancement opportunities in the Accounts Payable functions.
- Establishes, maintains appropriate business controls and processes within the Accounts Payable function to meet Corporate Compliance requirements.
- Accounts payable (AP) keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
- To review and verify invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approval before processing.
- To coordinate with the procurement and finance teams to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment holds and vendor disputes.
- To handle daily accounting tasks (invoicing reports)
- Assisting with accounts payable record.
- Identify opportunities and implement process improvements, simplifications and standardization.
- Reviews workflow and procedures to close service gap to ensure productivity.
- Ad-hoc assignments/projects upon request from line manager.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy/ finance or related field from recognized university
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a related field
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Meticulous and accurate in execution of given tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills in dealing with both internal and external parties.
- Excellent communication skill both in Bahasa Malaysia and English (oral and written)
- Excellent computer skill (MS Office), familiar with digital communication arrangement.
- Familiar with computerized accounting and multinational business environment.
- Familiar with SAP accounting system
- Conversant with financial reporting standards/IFRS
- Proactive, result oriented and a good team player
- Possess analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people at different levels.
