About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated individual for the following responsibilities:

Project Engineering (develop, review, approve where applicable)

  • Method Statements and/or Procedures (i.e transportation and installation)
  • Lift Plans, rigging design, calculation & related drawings
  • Inspection Plans
  • Task Plans, Job cards, etc
  • Specifications, Scope of work
  • Coordination and control of assigned work and definition of resources and equipment

Project Support:

  • Site supervision/management
  • Offshore field/project engineer
  • Equipment/vessel suitability inspections
  • Site supervision and subcontractor management
  • Client representation
  • HAZID/HAZOP
  • Risk Management
  • Project close outs, lessons learned

Further Activities may include:

Project management

  • Planning
  • Cost Control and Budget Reporting
  • Scope management
  • Support with tenders, technically and commercially
  • Feasibility studies (multi-discipline), technically and commercially
  • RFQ preparation (SOW preparation and shortlisting suppliers)
  • Review of proposals (technical and commercial, as applicable)
  • Participate in network events, attend relevant exhibitions and conferences
  • R&D projects
  • Document control, as/when applicable
  • On site or Offshore support, as/when applicable

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Engineering (or higher) in Structural/Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the offshore industry such as subsea pipeline, cable or structure installation
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and colleagues
  • Offshore exposure, as part of offshore projects and mobilizations
  • Structural fabrication management and inspection (grillage, sea fastening, etc)
  • Familiar with industry/marine codes, standards and design guidelines

Skills

  • Proficient in MSOffice or Office 365 skills (outlook, excel, word)
  • AutoCAD /or solid works (intermediate or advanced) or equivalent
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication
