About the role

PZK SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented Drafter Civil and Drafter Structure to join our dynamic team in Cheras Batu 9, Selangor. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Civil and Structural Engineering projects, contributing to the design and development of innovative infrastructure solutions. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging initiatives within our growing organisation.

A. Position : Drafter (Civil)

  1. Prepare and develop detailed 2D and 3D civil drawings and plans using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
  2. Assist engineers in producing design layouts, schematic drawings, and construction details.
  3. Prepare as-built drawings, cross-sections, elevation plans, and site layouts.
  4. Ensure all drawings comply with company and client standards, codes, and specifications.
  5. Revise drawings as per engineer's or client's comments and maintain drawing version control.
  6. Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure design consistency.
  7. Maintain drawing records, digital files, and project documentation properly.
  8. Assist in quantity estimation, drawing measurement, and design verification when required.

B. Position : Drafter (Structure)

  1. Prepare structural drawings including reinforcement detailing, foundation layouts, framing plans, and sections/elevations using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
  2. Work closely with structural engineers to develop design concepts into constructible drawings.
  3. Update and revise drawings as per design changes or engineer's comments.
  4. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
  5. Produce as-built drawings and maintain proper document control for all drawing files.
  6. Coordinate drawings with other disciplines (architectural, civil, M&E) to ensure design consistency.
  7. Support in preparing BIM models or 3D drafting.
  8. Assist engineers in quantity estimation, bar bending schedules, and construction detailing.
  9. Maintain clear records of revisions, transmittals, and drawing registers.

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
  2. Minimum 10 years of relevant drafting experience in a structural consulting engineering firm. (Structure)
  3. Minimum 10 years of drafting experience in a consulting engineering firm, preferably in water and wastewater treatment plant projects. (Civil)
  4. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, BIM, Plant 3D, or other CAD software is an advantage.
  5. Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, standards, and best practices
  6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret and translate engineering designs into detailed drawings
  7. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  8. Familiarity with relevant construction codes and regulations
  9. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
