About the role
Pembinaan Kekal Mewah Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Traffic Management Officer to join our team in Sandakan, Sabah. This full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic at our construction site located at Mile 32. As the Traffic Management Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing traffic control measures to protect both site personnel and the general public.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement comprehensive traffic management plans to minimise disruptions and ensure the safety of all road users
- Monitor and maintain traffic control devices such as signage, barriers, and traffic lights to ensure their proper functioning
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic during construction activities
- Conduct regular inspections of the site to identify and address any potential traffic hazards or issues
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on proper traffic management procedures
- Maintain detailed records and documentation related to traffic management activities
- Collaborate with the project management team to optimise traffic flow and minimise disruptions to the surrounding community
- Prepare traffic management report
- Any ad-hoc task given by the Management time to time.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar traffic management or site safety role within the construction industry
- Excellent knowledge of traffic management principles, regulations, and best practices
- Proficient in the use of traffic control equipment and devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
- Able to work effectively in a team and take initiative to solve problems independently
- Familiar with local traffic regulations and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions
- Valid Malaysian driver's license and a clean driving record.
