Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Operations Support professional to assist with day-to-day financial processes. This role ensures smooth execution of finance operations, accurate recordkeeping, and timely support for external accountants, bookkeepers, and GST vendors. You will work closely with the Finance & Operations Manager and have opportunities to grow into more analytical or process-focused responsibilities over time.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Operations Support

  • Support daily finance activities including invoicing, payments, basic reconciliations, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare and organize documentation required by external bookkeepers and GST vendors.
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date financial records.
  • Review supporting documents and data for draft journal entries, trial balances, and reconciliations prepared by external accountants; flag discrepancies.
  • Verify proper collection, coding, and completeness of GST-related information and documents; support the review of GST submissions.

Revenue & Receivables

  • Assist in preparing and issuing accurate and timely customer invoices.
  • Track project milestones, software license terms, and SLA renewals to support timely billing.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments under guidance.
  • Reconcile invoices and payment receipts to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

Expenses & Payables

  • Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payment batches according to approval workflows.
  • Ensure all expense submissions include proper supporting documents and coding.
  • Review corporate card and expense transactions (Aspire, Brex) for completeness and policy compliance.
  • Categorize and record expenses according to the company's FP&A structure.

Recordkeeping & Reconciliations

  • Maintain and update basic financial schedules (A/R, A/P, bank, and card reconciliations).
  • Support monthly closing activities by preparing and validating financial data.
  • Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register, asset tagging, and basic depreciation tracking.
  • Systematically file and archive documentation to ensure audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or related functions.
  • Hands-on experience with AP, AR, billing, or basic reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.
  • Organized, reliable, and capable of managing multiple routine tasks effectively.
  • Eager to learn new tools, systems, and accounting practices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Familiarity with GST concepts (e.g., input vs output tax, documentation requirements).
  • Interest in financial system automation or process improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM5,000.00 per month
