Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
IT Software Sales Manager
to lead our software sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand market presence. The ideal candidate has strong technical understanding of software solutions, excellent leadership capability, and a proven track record in B2B sales. This role will manage end-to-end sales activities—from prospecting to closing—and collaborate closely with product, marketing, and technical teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and potential customer segments.
- Create sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics for management.
2.Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and proposals tailored to client needs.
3.Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Manage, guide, and motivate a team of software sales executives.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and skill development plans.
- Set KPIs, track performance, and ensure consistent sales execution.

Collaboration with Internal Team
- Work closely with the product team to align customer feedback with product improvements.
- Collaborate with marketing to design targeted sales campaigns and lead-generation initiatives.
- Coordinate with technical teams for solution scoping and implementation after deal closure.
5.Market & Competitor Analysis
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving software technologies.
- Contribute insights to refine product positioning and pricing strategies.
6.Sales Operations & Reporting
- Oversee CRM usage (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to track leads, opportunities, and activities.
- Ensure accuracy in sales documentation, contracts, and proposals.
- Present periodic sales performance reports to senior management.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum
5–7 years of experience
in software or IT solution sales. - Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing a sales team is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of software products (SaaS, ERP, Cloud Solutions, Cybersecurity, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, etc.).
