Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to manage the accounts receivable processes for the UK and EMEA regions within our dynamic oil and gas technology company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, project creation and credit checking. Maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the finance team in achieving cash flow targets and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the AR ledger for customers across the UK and EMEA regions.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, project creation and credit checks.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and issue credit/debit notes as needed.
  • Process incoming payments accurately via multiple payment methods and allocate to appropriate accounts.
  • Liaise with internal departments (sales, operations, legal) to resolve billing disputes and support contract compliance.
  • Communicate professionally with customers in various EMEA countries, often dealing with multi-currency transactions and varying payment terms.
  • Ensure compliance with regional tax regulations, including VAT, and support audits as needed.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and AR reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, ideally in an international or EMEA-focused role.
  • Background in oil and gas, technology, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of multi-currency transactions and regional tax/VAT requirements.
  • Proficiency in using ERP and accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across different cultures and time zones.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European language(s) a plus.
