ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering, Building Management, or other equivalent fields.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION/OTHER RELEVANT CERTIFICATION (PREFERRED)
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM).
- Certification in CIDB Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) Awareness Course or any other relevant course/training related to Quality Management System (QMS).
WORKING EXPERIENCES
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in infrastructure or building construction (experience in warehouse will be prioritized).
- Proven experience as Manager specialising in the development and implementation of QMS/QLASSIC in diverse range of construction projects.
KEY/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards for design, construction and building systems.
- Knowledge of BIM modeller or relevant software in regards to building and infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or relevant software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and issues arising at site or contractual matters.
- Ability to influence: Build value of preferred alternatives by relating them to others' needs; respond to differing views by emphasizing value; articulate problems with undesirable alternatives.
- Accountability: Take responsibility for outcomes (positive or negative) of one's work; hold self and others accountable for reaching short- and long-term goals.
- Delegation: Define and clearly communicate the parameters of the delegated responsibility, including decision-making authority and any required actions, constraints, or deadlines.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QAQC Manager is responsible for quality management system of the company and the assigned project. Ultimately, you will be managing the development and implementation of quality management system while ensuring all functions are in compliance with the specified standards and requirements as well as in aligned with departmental goals and objectives.
- Verify the implementation of the quality assurance and control systems, through planning and conducting internal quality audits and inspection activities at HQ and site offices.
- Report to Senior QAQC Manager/HOD on the progress and performance of the QMS.
- Verify the company's quality policies to ensure they are fully understood, implemented and maintained.
- Manage the implementation and continuous improvement of overall Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Manage quality audits and inspections to ensure the compliance with all requirements of contractual, company and local authority pertaining to quality.
- Review, update and control the distribution of the Quality Management Procedure, Quality Manual and related procedures for infrastructure, MEP, civil and other divisions.
- Develop project specific quality plans for civil and infrastructure projects.
- Manage training programme for quality systems including Quality Toolbox Briefing (QTB) to ensure adequate awareness is provided to the employees.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is measured and monitored closely and corrective steps are taken to address the issues.
- Ensure all non-conformance issues are promptly investigated, corrected and preventive actions are taken to resolve the issues swiftly.
- Ensure the contractual quality requirements of projects are properly communicated to all key personnel for their deep understanding of the requirements for task execution.
- Adhere to the standard safety, health, and environmental guidelines as established by the authority.
- Ensure all subcontractors' quality systems and plans are up to the mark of the company's plan as stated in the Project Contract.
- Ensure subcontractor's/supplier's quality systems are effectively implemented.
- Ensure the calibration of all inspections, measurements and test equipment are conducted according to the defined schedule.
- Conduct review on the approved suppliers' and subcontractors' lists.
- Liaise with clients to ensure all potential and actual quality issues are completely resolved.
- Prepare statistical data to show the quality trends to management when necessary.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.
