Pricing Executive – Sea Freight

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The basis of this role is to help to support the development of our sea freight business in Malaysia through effective quotations of sea freight shipments for local customers and partners overseas.

The primary role includes:

  • Management and processing of quotation requests in line with KPIs.
  • Effective sourcing of rates through appropriate vendors;
  • Sourcing new partners and vendors based on our business needs;
  • Structured handover of secured shipments to our operations following SOPs;
  • Quotation follow ups and customer development in partnership with sales;

Willingness to learn air freight in order to the support the team at peak times.

OTHER TASKS

Other tasks in relation to the smooth running and achieving our corporate targets as well as contributing to the overall office environment and community.

Team Synergy

  • Work closely with peers in our local Operations, Sales, Management to achieve the best outcome for each shipment and customer
  • To be sales centric and always look for opportunities to develop business whether that is directly or via passing leads to Sales colleagues in Malaysia / overseas.
  • Work closely with our management team so that we can monitor and develop our product portfolio.
  • Work in partnership with the entire team to enhance the overall company

culture and help to foster positive atmosphere and staff relationships.

Administration

  • To support the business with any administrative tasks required.
  • To support the business with certain ISO and related tasks as required.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATRIBUTES:

The job holder will need to be able demonstrate:

  • ESSENTIAL – 2 Years experience of issuing sea freight quotations including LCL, FCL, Special Equipment, Breakbulk;
  • ESSENTIAL – 2 Years experience of sourcing sea freight rates from carriers / coloaders including LCL, FCL, Special Equipment, Breakbulk;
  • Good organization skills;
  • Strong customer service orientated attitude;
  • Proactive to learn more and continue to acquire new knowledge;
  • Proactive to contribute to continuous improvement and new solutions for our company;
  • A hunger to grow our business;
