Application Support Consultant (FinTech / Treasury)

​Location: Petaling Jaya

Type: Full-time

​The Role

Triaset is the engine behind some of the largest Treasury and Investment operations in Malaysia. We are looking for problem solvers to join our Support team.

​You do not need to be a coder to succeed here. You need to be analytical, logical, and able to remain calm when a client has an issue. We sit at the intersection of Finance and Technology - we are looking for people who want to master both.

​What You Will Actually Do

  • ​Be the Detective: Clients will report issues (e.g., "This bond yield calculation looks wrong" or "I can't generate this report"). Your job is to investigate, replicate the error, and figure out if it's a user mistake, a data issue, or a software bug.
  • ​The Translator: You will act as the bridge. You translate complex financial requirements from bankers into technical tickets for our Software Developers, and vice versa.
  • ​The Teacher: You will guide clients on how to use our software effectively, helping them automate their daily treasury operations.
  • ​The Fixer: For simpler issues, you'll fix them yourself (we will teach you the SQL and configuration tools). For complex bugs, you will manage the lifecycle of the fix with the engineering team.

​Who We Are Looking For

  • We hire for aptitude and attitude. We can teach you the software; we can't teach you how to care about quality.
  • ​The "Degree": We welcome diverse backgrounds. Computer Science is great, but so are Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Accounting. The key is a highly numerical mindset.
  • ​The "Tech-Curious": You don't need to know how to code, but you shouldn't be afraid of technology. If you enjoy Excel formulas, logic puzzles, or figuring out how systems work, you will fit right in.
  • ​The Communicator: You can write a clear email that explains a complex problem simply. You are comfortable talking to everyone from Junior Traders to IT Managers.
  • ​The Mindset: You are skeptical (you verify before you trust) and structured (you don't miss details).
  • Proficiency of English in written and oral communication is necessary.

​Bonus Points (Not Required, but Nice)

  • ​Understanding of financial concepts (bonds, FX, money market, deposits).
  • ​Basic exposure to SQL or database concepts.
  • Experience with customer service or client-facing roles.
