Location: Batu Kawan / Simpang Ampat, Penang

Company: Wesotech Digital Sdn Bhd

Working Days: Monday–Friday

Languages: Able to read & write Chinese


Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented intern to support our Purchasing and Documentation activities. The intern will assist in sourcing suppliers, requesting quotations, handling documentation, and supporting daily operations related to industrial spare parts, hardware supplies, and engineering projects.


Key Responsibilities
1. Purchasing Support
  • Request quotations from local and overseas suppliers (in English & Chinese).
  • Compare prices, lead times, MOQ, and prepare quotation comparison sheets.
  • Follow up with suppliers on stock availability, delivery dates, and order status.
  • Assist in issuing Purchase Orders in SQL system (training provided).
  • Coordinate incoming goods with warehouse/admin teams.
2. Supplier Sourcing & Communication
  • Identify new suppliers for competitive pricing.
  • Communicate with China, Singapore, and Malaysia suppliers via email, WeChat, WhatsApp, or phone.
  • Maintain supplier contact list and update records.
3. Documentation & Administrative Tasks
  • Assist in preparing Delivery Orders, Invoices, and basic documentation.
  • Help organize filing, labelling, and updating product records.
  • Prepare simple reports (purchasing summary, cost comparison, etc.).
  • Support ad-hoc admin tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
  • Able to read and write in Chinese (must).
  • Good communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia added advantage.
  • Currently studying Business, Supply Chain, Admin, Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & email communication.
  • Positive attitude, responsible, willing to learn, and able to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with good follow-up skills.
