Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Specialist located in
Malaysia, Shah Alam
. We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented BD Executive with 2 to 3 years of experience in handling commercial operations, procurement support, tendering, and contract management across Pan Malaysia e.g., logistics, Ocean Freight, FMCG, Manufacturing, or any other industry related to supply chain. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, streamline processes, and contribute to cost savings, operational efficiency and commercial development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing commercial proposals, contracts, and quotations.
  • Support the finance, sales and operation teams with procurement and commercial data.
  • Maintain and update commercial records and documentation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities that impact procurement and pricing strategies.
  • Engagement with overseas agent to negotiate win new business.
  • Engagement with overseas partner to generate leads for sales team and build strong commercial partnerships.
  • Evaluate partner performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Assist Manager to source, evaluate, and negotiate with business partners and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in procurement and/or commercial functions.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement software e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc. added advantage but not required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of market dynamics.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Power Point and Word.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
