Financial/ Accounts Executive

- We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Financial / Accounts Executive to manage our company's day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Recording and Bookkeeping
- Process accounts payable (AP) – verify, record, and prepare payments to suppliers.
- Process accounts receivable (AR) – issue invoices, follow up on customer payments, and manage the aging report.
- Perform daily accounting entries in the general ledger.
- Handle staff claims and petty cash reimbursements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions.
2. Management of Key Accounts
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules (e.g., Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals).
- Manage inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
- Assist in inventory accounting and reconciliation.
3. Reporting and Compliance
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) and management reports.
- Support the preparation of statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for tax computations (with GST/SST knowledge being an advantage).
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and company policies.
4. Payroll and Other Duties
- Assist the HR/Payroll department with payroll processing, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB (MTD), and HRDF submissions.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications and Experience (Requirements)
- Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting or a professional qualification (e.g., LCCI, CAT, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA).
- 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience in full-set accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in any ERP Accounting system will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Meticulous, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Added Advantage: Experience with GST/SST reporting, payroll processing, or being a part-qualified/progressing in a professional accountancy body (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
