Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily front-of-house operations and ensure excellent customer service. The role involves supervising service staff, managing daily workflows, and maintaining operational standards to support the Restaurant Manager and overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in implementing instructions and overseeing daily front-of-house operations.
  • Lead by example, enforce store policies, and remain on the floor during business hours to supervise staff and engage with customers.
  • Manage and schedule service staff, cashiers, hosts/hostesses, and cleaners, including performance evaluation and coaching.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, monitor staff attendance, grooming, and uniforms, and communicate daily tasks and updates.
  • Strengthen on-site supervision, handle customer complaints, and resolve unexpected incidents promptly.
  • Manage front-of-house assets, including facilities, equipment, utensils, and consumables, ensuring proper maintenance and timely replenishment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in restaurant operations or a supervisory/front-of-house management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of restaurant service standards, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • High sense of responsibility, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and asset control for front-of-house operations.
  • Familiarity with staff scheduling, performance evaluation, and training.
  • Proficient in basic office software and POS systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM5,500.00 per month
