About the role

Generation Two Thousand Apparel Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Retail Area Manager to oversee the operations and performance of our retail stores across Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience within your area of responsibility.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of multiple retail stores, ensuring they meet or exceed sales, service and operational targets
  2. Provide leadership, coaching and development support to store managers and their teams, helping them to improve performance and reach their full potential
  3. Analyse sales data, identify trends and opportunities, and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability
  4. Ensure stores maintain high standards of visual merchandising, stock control and customer service
  5. Collaborate with the central team to implement new initiatives, policies and procedures across the retail network
  6. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  7. Maintain a strong understanding of the retail industry, consumer trends and competitor activity

What we're looking for

  1. Proven track record of success as a Retail Area Manager or in a similar multi-site leadership role, preferably within the fashion or apparel industry
  2. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive sales and profitability through effective operational management
  3. Excellent people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop high-performing retail teams
  4. Proficient in analysing data, identifying insights and implementing data-driven strategies
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  6. Adaptable and responsive to change, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  7. Degree in Retail Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred
