The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the overall accounting operations of the company, including handling the full set of accounts, financial reporting, and compliance. This role oversees daily accounting activities, ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, and provides financial insights to support management decisions. The Finance Manager also supervises the finance team to ensure efficient operation and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day to day financial and accounting operations based on the company's requirements.
  • Coach the team members to improve skills and knowledge required to perform his/her job effectively.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and financial projections.
  • Develop suitable financial and operating procedures to improve the operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the collection from customer, ensure the payment receive on time.
  • Prepare monthly accounts reconciliation and conduct business performance reviews
  • Undertake day-to-day finance and accounting functions which includes managing treasury, credit control, cost control, risk and internal controls and related activities.
  • Maintain and review financial and management reports.
  • Manage cash flow, APs, ARs and oversee inventory control.
  • Perform statutory reporting and ensure compliances to rules and regulations of the appropriate authorities.
  • Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
  • Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
  • Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company's finances.
  • Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts.
  • Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
  • Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company's status and financial forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Degree in Accounting or Finance or a professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 7 years of experience in accounting and/or finance with a minimum of 5 years at managerial level.
  • Preferred candidates with FMCG industry background or experience in fast-paced, high-volume operations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized, attention to details and good follow-through, delivering on deadlines
