About the role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our growing team at CO-OPBANK PERTAMA (CBP) in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, contributing to the compliance framework.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive compliance programs to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
  2. Providing guidance and support to business units on complying with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  3. Conducting regular compliance audits and address potential issues.
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and controls
  5. Delivering compliance training and awareness programs to all levels of the organization.
  6. Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors.
  7. Staying up-to-date with changes in the regulatory landscape and implementing necessary updates.
  8. Providing timely and accurate compliance reporting to senior management and the board of directors.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 7 years of experience in a compliance within the banking or financial services industry
  2. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and data privacy laws.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address compliance risks.
  4. Proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs and controls.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
  6. Proficient in using compliance management software and data analysis tools.
  7. Relevant professional certifications in Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering would be an advantage.
