Alton Intelligent Technology Sdn. Bhd. is wholly foreign-owned by Alton Industry Ltd. Group, a US-based global supplier of household products and industrial tools, with a total land area of 45.25 acres.
The base in Malaysia has established a comprehensive complex of six full-featured factories. These factories integrate motor assembly, sheet metal processing, injection moulding, general assembly lines, and automated intelligent warehousing.
In addition to the core production and storage areas, it also carefully designed a five-story modern office building, two three-story canteens and activity centers full of life, and four five-story dormitory buildings.
About the role
As a key member of our IT digitalization team, you will be responsible for the implementation, integration, and daily maintenance of finance and tax-related systems. Your role is to ensure that the company's financial operations—particularly sales & distribution, tax compliance, and cost management—are efficiently supported by the system and fully aligned with Malaysia's tax regulations, especially the latest e-invoicing requirements.
What you'll be doing
1. Financial & Tax System Implementation and Integration
Lead the implementation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of financial and tax-related systems, especially SAP FI/CO/SD modules.
- Take charge of middleware integration between internal tax systems and Malaysia's official tax platforms (e.g., e-Invoice systems).
- Manage and optimize system processes involving customs declaration data, ensuring seamless integration with logistics and procurement modules.
2. Tax Compliance and Reporting Support
- Ensure that all system-generated invoices comply with Malaysia's latest tax and e-invoicing regulations.
- Configure systems to automate tax reporting processes, including corporate tax and SST (Sales & Service Tax) calculations.
- Manage documentation related to customs clearance (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) within the system to maintain data consistency.
3. SAP System Configuration and Maintenance
- Expertly configure and maintain SAP FI (Finance), CO (Controlling), and SD (Sales & Distribution) modules, including customer master data, account determination, and tax code setup.
- Optimize the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process to ensure accurate automatic posting of sales revenue, accounts receivable, and output tax.
- Understand manufacturing business processes and be capable of diagnosing and resolving system issues related to goods receipt, work order management, and system transactions.
4. Business Process Optimization and Support
- Analyze and streamline end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and customs management.
- Provide training and advanced system support to finance, logistics, and sales teams; prepare and maintain system operation manuals and documentation.
What we're looking for
1. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or tax system engineering roles in Malaysia, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven full-cycle SAP project experience, having participated in at least two end-to-end implementations.
2. Technical Skills
- SAP Expertise: Strong command of SAP FI/CO/SD module configuration, particularly in tax invoicing, automatic postings, cost center, and profit center accounting.
- System Integration: Hands-on experience integrating ERP systems (especially SAP) with Malaysian tax systems such as e-Invoicing platforms.
- Database & Tools: Proficient in SQL for data analysis and familiar with at least one middleware tool.
3. Local Knowledge & Compliance Understanding
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysia's taxation system, including Corporate Income Tax, SST, e-Invoicing framework, and advance ruling procedures.
- Familiar with Malaysian customs clearance procedures, required documentation, and compliance standards.
- Understanding of Malaysian financial reporting standards and Companies Act requirements.
4. Soft Skills & Language
- Strong problem-solving and project management abilities with the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, acting as a bridge between IT and business (especially Finance).
- Language: Proficiency in English or Chinese (written and spoken) is required; fluency in Malay is essential for handling official documents and communication with local authorities such as tax and customs offices.
