About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time Account Executive role at WHH Engineering & Construction Sdn. Bhd. in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan will be responsible for a range of bookkeeping and accounting duties to support the company's small practice accounting needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Preparing monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and other financial reports
  • Processing invoices, making payments, and managing petty cash
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting tax compliance, including the preparation of tax returns
  • Providing administrative support to the Finance team as needed

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Position available for fresh graduates as well as experienced candidates in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in a small practice or construction industry
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the finance team and other stakeholders
  • Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting requirements in Malaysia
