Pharmaceutical Sales Manager

Main Objective of the Job:

  • Develop Representatives' ability to influence customers' prescribing behaviors to deliver target sales and build Menarini's long-term business within the assigned territory. Responsible for the overall management of both material and human resources of the assigned territory in pursuit of these goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve sales targets and manage promotional expenditure within defined budget.
  2. Lead, control and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets and SFE KPI objectives by developing a team of capable, well-trained and performance-oriented sales representatives.
  3. Regularly review achievement of territory sales against targets and initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives.
  4. Develop territory Business Plan based on key objectives and allocate resources (e.g. coaching time, budget) for optimal sales impact.
  5. Ensure optimal execution of plans of action (POA), field tactics program and territory plans.
  6. Provide in-field coaching to MR's in order to develop their M-Show competencies - ability to positively influence customer's prescribing behaviors.
  7. Conduct monthly field development coaching with MR's utilizing in-field development forms as a reference source for competency development.
  8. Present Monthly Updates on Business Review Sessions, commenting on deviations from Business Plans and intended actions to align performance with plan.
  9. Monitor MRs' monthly reports to ensure relevance and implementation of intended actions.
  10. Distribute, communicate and ensure comprehension of key reports (e.g. MIS and MOBI) to MR's.
  11. Rapidly back-fill any team vacancies with competent new hires following Menarini recruitment guidelines.
  12. Maintain contact and relationship with key accounts/customers
  13. Adhere to Menarini and industry code of conduct, ethics and PhAMA Code.
  14. Other responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Sciences/Pharmacy
  2. Pharmaceutical or related field management experience.
  3. 8 years of experience & above as a Medical Sales Representative.
  4. Self-motivated and possessing good follow-up abilities.
  5. Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  6. Strong leadership skills, good communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
