Job Purpose:

The Assistant Manager, Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving sales performance in the replacement market for automotive products across Malaysia. This role focuses on expanding the customer base, meeting sales targets, supporting the sales team, and coordinating closely with the production plant to ensure smooth operations and timely product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and manage sales activities in the replacement market for automotive products within Malaysia.
  • Work towards achieving the sales targets set by the Company.
  • Expand and strengthen the customer base through proactive business development and relationship management.
  • Liaise with the plant on material forecasts, stock orders, and production output to ensure sufficient product availability.
  • Coordinate with the plant for new model and product development initiatives.
  • Supervise, guide, and monitor the daily activities of the sales team, providing necessary support and motivation.
  • Attend to sales enquiries, establish rapport, and maintain good relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct regular visits to dealers to monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitors' activities.
  • Propose sales improvement strategies and initiatives to Management based on market analysis.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present sales reports to support market and performance analysis.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from sales representatives and key accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
  • Be prepared for reassignment or transfer to other positions or departments at the Company's discretion.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 
    3–5
    years of relevant experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and sales reporting tools.
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia.
  • Possess own transport and a valid driving license.
