We are expanding our regional presence and are seeking a Finance Manager to join our growing team in Puchong, Selangor.

Role Overview

The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial operations in Malaysia, ensuring compliance with both local and international accounting standards. You will play a central role in financial planning, reporting, and control, while supporting Cortical Labs' strategic and operational growth across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional with strong technical expertise, experience in ERP systems (particularly Odoo), and an interest in working in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounting, payroll, tax, and audit.

· Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS and IFRS.

· Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis to support decision-making.

· Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance in Malaysia and Singapore.

· Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.

· Implement and enhance financial processes within Odoo ERP, including accounting, invoicing, procurement, and reporting modules.

· Oversee cash flow, treasury management, and internal control systems.

· Manage intercompany transactions, consolidations, and group reporting.

· Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to drive efficiency and growth.

Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

· Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA) qualification recognized in both Malaysia (MIA) and Singapore (ISCA).

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or audit.

· Proven ability to manage full-spectrum finance operations.

· Experience with Odoo ERP (or similar enterprise accounting systems) is highly desirable.

· Experience with manufacturing processes and inventory management is a strong plus.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and regions.

· Experience in technology, biotechnology, or startup environments is advantageous.
