Overview

As a Bancassurance Advisor, you will be responsible for providing financial advice to clients on a range of topics, including retirement planning, future investing, education savings, and life insurance protection. Your core mission is to generate leads, meet with clients to perform a financial needs analysis, and present them with customized proposals. You will also be responsible for handling customer inquiries and complaints, cross-selling other products like credit cards and Share Margin Financing (SMF), and ensuring that all documents comply with requirements like AML, FATCA, and CRS.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1) Customer Service and Relationship Management. The Bancassurance Advisor is expected to understand the client's needs and build long-lasting relationships to serve them effectively.

  • Attend to walk-in Priority Banking customers for various banking transactions and resolve any problems or complaints accurately and within a specified time.
  • Proactively engage customers to build sustainable relationships and trust.
  • Handle inquiries and provide accurate, valid, and complete information.

2) Sales and Business Development. The Bancassurance Advisor is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales and service targets for both themselves and their team.

  • Share information on current campaigns and promotions.
  • Cross-sell products such as Credit Cards and Share Margin Financing (SMF).
  • Refer sales to Relationship Managers for Priority Banking upgrades and investment products.
  • Perform callbacks to customers to confirm sales and banking transactions.

3) Compliance and Operations Management. The Bancassurance Advisor is responsible for adhering to all regulatory and internal policies to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

  • Check all documents and forms submitted by Relationship Managers to ensure compliance with requirements like AML, FATCA, CRS, and FEAR.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient documentation and filing system to keep all important paperwork organized and up-to-date.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the Priority Banking Center (PBC), making sure all facilities, equipment, and stationery are sufficiently provided.

Jobholder Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen

Education/Qualification

  • Degree holder in Finance or other related field.
  • CFP certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • 3 years and above relevant experience in a financial institution.
